Cancun has many shopping centers, malls, market places and stores. Because of the rich cultural diversity of this region of Mexico you can find all kinds of unique crafts. You can shop high-quality woodcrafts, jewelry, Mexican handcrafts, pottery, typical clothing and all you can imagine. Here is a list of the places that we recommend for shopping.
Plaza La Isla

The glittering, trendy La Isla Shopping Village is on the Nichupte Lagoon under a giant canopy. A series of canals and small bridges are designed to give the place a Venetian look. In addition to a wide range of shops, the mall has a marina, an aquarium, a disco, restaurants, and movie theaters.
Kukulkan Plaza

60,000 square meter shopping center that has more than 250 shops and boutiques, specialty restaurants, bars, cafes as well as a Food Court offering 9 different options.
Flamingo Plaza

A small, high-tech plaza beautifully decorated with marble. It has designer, duty-free, and sportswear shops, an exchange booth, and two boutiques selling imports. Among other facilities you can find bank and ATM. Famous restaurants are located here like Planet Hollywood, Margarita Ville, Outback, Pat O’Brien’s.
Plaza Caracol

The largest and most contemporary of the malls, it is located north of the Convention Center. It houses about 200 shops and boutiques, including two pharmacies, art galleries, a currency exchange, and folk-art and jewelry shops, as well as cafes and restaurants. Boutiques include Benetton, Bally, Gucci, and Ralph Lauren, with prices lower than their U.S. counterparts.
Forum-by-the-Sea

The Forum is a sparkling entertainment/shopping plaza in the Hotel Zone. This three-level plaza offers brand-name stores, and restaurants fun atmosphere. Plaza Forum houses the Hard Rock Cafe Cancun, Carlos N Charlie’s and Rainforest Cafe. The City, Dady'O and Bulldog Café are within walking distance.
Plaza Las Americas
A large shopping mall located in downtown Cancun. Its 50-plus stores, three restaurants, eight movie theaters, ATM, book stores, pharmacy, video arcade, fast-food outlets, and three large department stores will make you think you're back home. It houses Sears, Liverpool, C&A, Pelletier, Sanborns, Mama Roma's, Chedraui supermarket and much more beautiful decorated stores. Any taxi driver can take you there.
Market 28
Commonly called Mercado Veintiocho. It is a good spot to check out souvenirs and handcrafts. Find the most ample variety of items you can imagine. Beautiful pieces of art hand made by Mexicans. Just one block away from the post office, this popular market is filled with shops selling many of the same souvenir items found in the Hotel Zone, but at half the price. It is like a huge flea market where you can deal the price with the vendors. After you visit this market don't forget to go to Plaza Bonita located just a few meters away the market.
Costco

Members only. It has Groceries, clothing, electronics, a pharmacy, a food court and 2 ATM’s.
Walmart

Walmart offers groceries, clothing, electronics, pharmacy, food court, bank and 3 ATM’s. It is within walking distance of Sam's Club.
Sam's Club

If you are member of this club you know what you can find. Electronics, ATM’s, pizza, pharmacy, groceries, computers, clothing, liquors, tools, etc.
